Description

Phlox divaricata 'Blue Ribbons' forms an evergreen patch to 3" tall x 2' wide

Iris cristata 'Edgar Anderson' is one of Anderson's original Missouri collections that was later named for Anderson by Irisarian Bob Pries

This plant collectors' moment is thanks to a single clone of yellow-flowering Trillium cuneatum we found in 1998 in Oconee County

(aka: Clematis 'Cleminov 51') Clematis 'Sapphire Indigo' is an amazing clematis hybrid from French plant breeder Laurence Arene-Querard (say that three times fast)

Trillium maculatum Little Lee Heliconia Phlox divaricata 'Blue Ribbons' formsTrillium maculatum 'Little Lee' is our seed grown strain from an original collection in Lee County, Georgia, where Trillium maculatum grew in low moist areas among Sabal minor palms. The plants from this site are much smaller than those from other sites we've visited, topping out in the garden at 7" tall and topped with very dark mottled leaves. The foliage is topped with 1. 5" tall beet red petals in mid to late March (NC).
