Normal Birth “Olga”

As Olga is giving birth she cleans the birth sac from each pup between contractions.

In the above shot Olga has just given birth to a pup. In the photo on the right you can see her hunching down to assist with the birth of the next one. Her position keeps changing as the babies are born, but she stays near the nest to keep the new babies warm and together.

The above left photo shows Olga consuming a placenta after she has removed it from a pup. Then you see her in the grip of another contraction as birthing continues.
